Neighborhood Meetings
All residents are encouraged to attend the monthly Neighborhood Meetings, held on the
third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The neighborhood safety meeting preceeds the general meeting and starts at 6:30pm. Meetings are held at the Alexander/Gish House at the rear of Highland Park, off of Walnut Avenue.
Board Meetings
Board meetings are generally held on the
second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. Meetings are open to OSW members in good standing/invited guests and located at the Alexander/Gish House located at the rear of Highland Park, off of Walnut Avenue.
Neighborhood Safety and Social Walks & Other Safety Events
Come out and meet your neighbors while helping to make our community a better place to live! We generally have two safety walks each month that combine socializing, exercise, and neighborhood awareness into one hour of walking through our beautiful neighborhood. The intent of the walks is to promote neighborly relationships, encourage resident visibility on the streets and parks of our neighborhood, and record any potentially suspicious/improper activity for later notification to the proper authorities. In addition to walking, there is usually some sort of social gathering either before or after the walk at a local restaurant or home. For more information about the walks, please feel free to email

Food and Friend Gatherings
Each month members of Old Southwest, Inc. gather at a resident's home for socializing and fellowship. And what would a party be without food?!? Attendees are requested to bring a dish for 3-4 people (or more if you'd like) and your favorite beverage. It's a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, unwind, and sample some of the flavor of the many talented chefs we have living in our neighborhood!
