Ukrop’s has re-launched their Golden Gift program, and you can help Old Southwest earn a portion of the $400,000 payout! You will earn one point for every dollar you spend at Ukrop's from February 4 through March 29. No registration is required; just use your UVC Card. At the end of the program in April, Ukrops will mail out "Golden Gift" certificates that you can turn into OSW.

The more you shop, the more points you earn. When you donate your points at the end of the program, Old Southwest can redeem them for a portion of the payout. For more details about the program, please visit www.ukrops.com.

Program Overview
Since we created Ukrop’s Golden Gift program in 1987, we have distributed $11.6 million to local non-profits. Based on both customer and non-profit feedback, we’re re-launching the program this year by combining only the best aspects of previous programs. It’s easier than ever to participate and earn funds. Ukrop’s 2008 Golden Gift program donation will be $400,000!

Non-Profit Registration & Information
Get ready by making sure that every one of your members has a valid UVC Card.

This year, non-profits can register at either ukrops.com or in-store using our new Easy PC kiosks. Program enhancements from the previous year include simplified registration, the printing of Golden Gift Certificates, and the issuance of paper checks. Each participating non-profit can earn up to 2% of the total $400,000 payout based on the number of Golden Gift points contributed by Ukrop’s Valued Customers to their organization. OLD SOUTHWEST IS ALREADY REGISTERED FOR THIS PROGRAM.

How does Golden Gift work?
Any customer that has a valid Ukrop’s Valued Customer Card can participate without any additional registration! If you need a UVC Card, just stop by the Customer Service counter at any Ukrop’s retail location.
Every time you shop at Ukrop’s and use your UVC card between February 4 and March 29, 2008, you will earn one Golden Gift Point for every $1 spent. The more you shop, the more you earn! Points are automatically calculated and tracked on your purchase receipts. At the end of the program period, a Golden Gift Certificate that details your household’s points will be mailed to you. Donate your points by turning your Golden Gift Certificate in to the participating non-profit of your choice. The more Golden Gift Points a participating non-profit collects, the greater their share of the $400,000 payout!

Note: Households must spend at least $100 during the program period (an average of $12.50 per week over 8 weeks) in order to receive a Golden Gift Certificate. Golden Gift points for all household members whose UVC Cards are linked will be tallied together.

2008 Ukrop’s Golden Gift Program Timeline

February 4
Golden Gift earning period begins. Ukrop’s Valued Customers earn one Golden Gift Point for every $1 spent at Ukrop’s. Points are tracked on purchase receipts.

March 29
Golden Gift earning period ends.
Deadline for non-profit registration. (OSW IS ALREADY REGISTERED)
No registrations will be accepted after this deadline.

April 28
Golden Gift Certificates that detail point balances accumulated during the earning period are mailed to Ukrop’s Valued Customers. Envelopes used by participating non-profits for collecting and submitting Golden Gift Certificates become available for in-store pick up at any Ukrop’s Customer Service counter.

June 14
Deadline for participating non-profits to submit envelopes containing the Golden Gift Certificates they have collected from Ukrop’s Valued Customers. All envelopes must be submitted in-store through a Ukrop’s Customer Service counter. This deadline will not be extended. Envelopes received after June 14 will not be included in the Golden Gift payout calculation.

June 16 - August 15

1. Registration: Each non-profit must apply to participate. Non-profits may register online at www.ukrops.com or instore using our new Easy PC kiosks.

2. Verification: After Ukrop’s has approved the application, we will give each non-profit an organization number via email. If you have not received verification within two weeks of registering, please call 804-340-3066 or 800-868-2270. You may pick up additional copies of rules in any Ukrop’s store or view them online at www.ukrops.com.

3. Registration begins January 14, 2008 and ends at close of business on March 29, 2008 at 10:00 P.M.

4. Registration Deadline: Non-profits must register for the Golden Gift program by Saturday, March 29, 2008. We regret that registrations cannot be accepted after this date.

5. Customers must present their Ukrop’s Valued Customer card at the time of checkout each time they shop at Ukrop’s. (Customers who do not have a Valued Customer card will not be able to participate in the Golden Gift program. To apply
for a Valued Customer card, stop by the Customer Service counter at any Ukrop’s retail location.) Purchases made during the program period will be recorded to customers’ Valued Customer account as points. 1 point will be awarded for each $1 spent. Receipt tapes in lieu of the Valued Customer card are not acceptable.

6. In May 2008, customers will be mailed a Golden Gift certificate of the points earned during the program period. Customers must submit these certificates to a participating non-profit organization of their choice.

7. Customers who wish to contribute to more than one non-profit must take their Golden Gift certificate to the Customer Service desk of any Ukrop’s retail location. A Customer Service Associate will then issue replacement certificates.

8. Non-profits must submit their certificates all at once in the organizational envelope(s). Large envelopes will be available in all Ukrop’s stores after May 1, 2008, to be used by the organization. Information on completion will be on the envelope.

9. Contact persons are responsible for making sure that the organization’s number is clearly and correctly printed on all correspondence and envelopes.

10. We will accept completed envelopes at any store until close of business on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:00 P.M. Non-profits should obtain a receipt for all envelopes submitted. Regretfully this deadline cannot be extended. Envelopes turned in after this date will not be included in the Golden Gift calculation.

11. The total Golden Gift contribution to all organizations will not exceed $400,000. Each non-profit will receive either a 2% cash-back donation or a percentage of the $400,000 if total cash-back donations exceed $400,000. The higher your organization’s Golden Gift amount, the greater the portion you will receive of our total contribution.

12. By August 29, 2008, Ukrop’s will mail checks to all participating non-profit organizations that qualify for a distribution.

13. If there are any discrepancies in a non-profit’s total figures, we will call the non-profit’s contact person for clarification and correction if necessary. Ukrop’s reserves the right to make corrections to a non-profit’s totals and all decisions on the amount due is at the sole discretion of Ukrop’s.

14. Ukrop’s reserves the right to discontinue a non-profit’s participation in the Golden Gift program if that non-profit fails to follow these rules or continually submits incorrect totals.
