The obituary for Greg is in the paper, but if you go to the Roanoke Times website you will be able to read it there. After you finish reading it, please take time to sign the guest book. Thanks

Here is a direct link to the online obit at the newspaper's website.

Here is the text:

Gregory Paul Provencher
1950-2008

Gregory Paul Provencher passed away May 12, 2008. He was born in Vermont, August 31, 1950. Preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Parent Scott, he leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved partner of many years, Jean McKay; pets, Dooley, Oliver and Kitty, with whom he resided. Family members include father, David Paul Provencher; daughter, Tiffany Provencher; son, Scott Provencher; sisters, Trudy Crimi and Kim Steele; brother, Daniel Provencher; stepfather, Ken Scott; stepsisters, Kathy and Vivian. He moved to Roanoke several years ago from Millerton, N.Y., where he had been a carpenter, landscaper and gardener. Greatly talented, he became a very strong presence in Old Southwest. He was a true artisan. He was an active member in Old Southwest, Inc., Southern Cruisers Motorcycle Club, and United Sidecar Assoc. He enjoyed his bike with the sidecar, also the monthly food with friends gathering where his creative gourmet skills with herbs, oils and vinegars were enjoyed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His creative abilities are seen all over including his Arts & Crafts bungalow and garden in Old Southwest. A celebration of his life will take place later. See www.oldsouthwest.com for details.
